HARGEISA– Brigadier General, Niman Yusuf Osman, the Commander of Somaliland’s National Army, and H.E Teshome Shunde, the Ethiopian ambassador to Somaliland, along with Ethiopian Defense Attache, held a high level meeting on Thursday.
The meeting focused on the importance of consolidating bilateral ties in the areas of security cooperation between the two countries.
The discussion focused in the areas of intelligence sharing, joint training exercises, and coordinated efforts to combat security threats including terrorism, arms smuggling and human trafficking.
The meeting also highlighted Somaliland’s ongoing efforts to engage with int’l partners.
The meeting took place at the Somaliland Army Headquarters.
