Somali Prime Minister, Hamze Abdi Barre on Monday received Qatari Ambassador to Somalia, Dr. Abdullah Bin Salem Al Nuami.
The two sides discussed ways to consolidate the bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Somalia. They also discussed that Qatar will play a role when it comes to the ongoing development in Somalia.
The Prime Minister and Qatari Ambassador further discussed in how the State of Qatar will assist Somalia in the areas of security, development and the implementation of Somali National Transformation Plan (NTP).
A statement issued pertaining to the meeting between the Prime Minister and Qatari Ambassador, it said that the Somali Prime Minister expressed deep thanks and appreciations to Qatar for the support it provides to Somali particularly the projects in the areas of economic development and the basic services including education and health.
