President leads mourners in the Late Arabey burial

The President H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi has mourned the passing of Elder Haji Mohamed Abdi Arabey, a person eulogized as a great man with wisdom.

The Late Arabey passed on in the wee hours of 25th September 2021.

He was laid to rest at Baqii’ graveyards later in the day in a burial that had the Head of State leading the mourners.

Amongst them were the Interior, Information & Energy Ministers, the Honourables Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, Suleiman Ali Kore and Abdillahi  Farah Abdi and the Police Chief Brig General Mohamed Adan Saqadi, several MPs, regional governors, and senior civil servants and a multitude of mourners present to console the family, relatives and friends.

The President said that apart from being a righteous elder with a lot of wisdom, the late Arabey played a major role in the struggle for the country’s freedom, the reconciliation and pacification processes of the 1990s, and later in the reconstruction of the nation from the ruins, it was in.

He extended his condolences, apart from the family, relatives and friends, to fellow elder members of the public and the nation at large on the demise of the deceased.

He prayed to Allah to rest the late Arabey’s soul in eternal peace and wished the immediate family members and relatives strong faith in the trying moment.
