The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in Somalia on Thursday captured Al-shabab operatives who were planning to transport explosive devices to Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.
NISA conducted a planned operation in the outskirts of Deyniile in Banadir region which led to the apprehension of Nur Muhyadin Jabril and Mohamed Abdirahman Mohamud.
The National Intelligence and security Agency revealed in statement that the operatives were planning to transport eight landmines to the capital Mogadishu.
The statement went on to say that Al-shabab operatives will face justice and were involved committing acts of terrorism. They were also belonging to a terrorist group of Al-shabab.
NISA also nabbed another Al-shabab operative by the name of Ali Mohamed Abdi who is also known as Macruuf and Ali Fowdo within Al-Shabab circles.
Al-Shabab sent him to Mogadishu in order to carry out terrorism acts.
NISA successfully dismantled and eliminated Al-Shabab operatives who used to conduct assassinations and explosions in the capital.
NISA intensified its operations which are aimed at getting rid of Al-shabab remnants who are still planning to commit acts of terrorism against the Somali populace.
