Somali President Arrives in Adale district to oversee anti-terrorism operations

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Thursday arrived in Adale district in Hirshabelle state. Hirshabelle regional president flanked by officials at a regional and federal level, army officers and Commanders received the Somali President upon arrival at Adale district. The Head of State will inspect Somali troops in the frontlines as well as military bases by the Somali troops. During the president’s stay in Adale district, he will oversee the ongoing operations which are underway in Hirshabelle state and which are aimed at flushing out Al-shabab remnants from the territory.

In addition, the Head of State is due to hold meetings with the brave men and women in uniform. He will also meet with local residents and discuss ways to further resume anti-terrorism operations which are aimed at driving out Al-Shabab from the region. He lauded Hirshabelle community for the unwavering support they have provide to the gallant Somali troops. He reiterated that the Somali troops have the capacity to get the job done when it comes to eliminating the threat posed by the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group of Al-Shabab. The President will personally inspect the efforts underway to alleviate the suffering of local residents after Somali troops liberated their districts from the notorious Al-Shabab militants.
