Italy has sent 22 tones of humanitarian aid to support for flood relief efforts in Beledweyne.
The Italian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the aid was in response to flood hit areas people in Southern Somalia which has displaced more than 300, 000 people.
The flight from The Italian Cooperation Service flew from Mogadishi Friday carrying much needed supplies.
The consignment will support WFP activities which are aimed at saving lives in the flood affected communities.
UN and the Somalian Government sent an urgent appeal to the international community to provide 72.5 million to carry our life saving activities in the South of Somalia.
