The Chairman of DPFZA, Aboubaker Omar Hadi, and the President of China Merchants Group, Fu Gangfeng, recently met to discuss the success of Djibouti and China’s cooperation. During the meeting, they highlighted in particular the opening of the Djibouti International Free Trade Zone (DIFTZ), which has attracted attention from around the globe. Capitalising on Djibouti’s strategic location, the DIFTZ is key for Djibouti’s affirmation as a global trade hub, and facilitates access to the African market for companies from around the world. An asset for international trade, it will also provide Djibouti with a solid manufacturing base and thus consolidate Djibouti’s sustainable economic growth.
