HARGEISA–President Musa Bihi Abdi officially launched the Somaliland local industrial production exhibition yesterday.
Key industrial product production showcase their products that have been locally produced in the country.
Tayo plastics was among the few companies showcasing their locally produced items which exhibited in their stall in the exhibition.
Abdikarim Husein, Tayo General Manager narrated their manufacturing capacity .
“This is a plastic industry. We manufacture locally plastic products that are appropriate for domestic use like buckets, chairs, baby toilets and various items that our household use. We also produce items that are used for household electronics like joint box, Euro box and also electric wire pipes.” said Abdikarim
The Oromia region of Ethiopia’s female deputy chief administrator who was the chief guest of the event said Ethiopia and Somaliland have the opportunity to do better in business relations and closely work together.
“This is indeed a challenging times for global development but times for great opportunity for us. Opportunity to do better to do so together so will we approach? I pledge to work with you and your government in addressing both challenges and opportunities in the future.” she said
These industries have benefited communities in the form of employment and capacity development which have transformed the people.
