The President provided a comprehensive update on the overall progress of national affairs, with a specific focus on the outcomes of his recent working visits to the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia, and the resulting national benefits.
The President detailed the diplomatic results of his high-level meetings with the leadership of the UAE and Ethiopia. These discussions were centered on strengthening partnerships in key areas of mutual interest for the Republic of Somaliland, including security, trade, investment, and financial cooperation.
President Cirro assured the business community that the peace, unity, and solidarity of the Somaliland people are the top priorities of his administration. Furthermore, he briefed them on the positive progress of the peace and reconciliation efforts in the Ceerigaabo district, stating that the initiatives for peace and social harmony among the Somaliland communities in Ceerigaabo are advancing well.
The President emphasized that the eyes of the international community are currently on our country, and the government’s efforts to pursue recognition are on a promising track. He noted that peace is the foundational pillar upon which the state of Somaliland stands, and without it, the economic development, investment, and international recognition we seek from the global community cannot be achieved.
