Somali Prime Minister Meets with Djibouti President

The Prime minister of Somali Federal Gov’t Hamze Abdi Barre on Monday held a high level meeting with the President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh.

The Prime Minister and the President discussed the bilateral cooperation between Djibouti and Somalia in the areas of security, politics and the economic situation in the region.

During the meeting, the President and the Prime Minister talked about ways to strengthen the strategic cooperation between the two brotherly communities.

Prime Minster, Hamze Abdi Barre said that the current Somali Federal Gov’t achieved tangible progress in the areas of security, economy, politics and state-building.

He also underscored that these achievements were made through the working cooperation of Somalia’s gov’t institutions.

Finally, the PM expressed thanks to the gov’t and the people of the brotherly nation of Djibouti for standing by Somalia.

He stressed the importance of the strategic cooperation between Djibouti and Somalia.

He commended the crucial role that the incumbent Djibouti President plays when it comes to the peace and for bringing the Somali people together wherever they are.

On his side, Djibouti President Ismael Omar Guelleh pointed out that his gov’t and the people of Djibouti will continue the constant support it provides to the Somali state.

He reiterated the maximum efforts that he exerts when it comes to achieving peace and tranquility in Somalia.
