Mr. Abdirahman Aar has appeared before Marodi Jeh regional court on Thursday facing the allegations that he wore tracksuit with Somali flag in Hargeisa on broad daylight.
He was remanded for a week which means that he will remain in police detention waiting to be brought before trail once again. The police and the regional attorney general were given a week to prepare the accusations that Mr. Aar will be leveled against him. The young man who was arrested by police is the chair of local organization that combats tribalism in Somaliland. The captivity of Mr. Abdirahman coincided at a time when Somaliland was gearing up to mark May 18.
