HARGEISA– The Vice president of Somaliland has launched today the 4th session aimed at reviewing the educational system in the country.
The event which is held annually in Somaliland is discussed on the state of education in the country which is lagging behind its counterparts in the region.
The congress which has taken place in Hargeisa saw the attendance of most international organizations that carry out education projects in the country and stakeholders that are bringing a fresh blood into Somaliland’s educational system to improve.
The Director General of the education ministry has stressed that the country has taken important strides in terms of improving education. The DG asserted that alot needs to be done which needs much fund to realize that goals.
Hon. Abdiwahab Al Haq who is supporter on Somaliland to improve the quality of education has spoken on behalf of UN agencies and promised that the UN has pledged a huge support on its education reforms.
The education minister, Hon. Yasin Faraton has urged all int’l agencies to hugely contribute to the reforms that Somaliland education will make.
The Deputy President, Hon. Abdirahman Sayli’i has reiterated that the current government is doing all it can to improve Somaliland’s quality education.
