Somaliland had issued travel restrictions and barred all travelers from Europe and North America in fear of COVID-19 disease.
This was announced by the chair of the Coronavirus National Preparedness Committee, H.E Abdirahman Sayli’i.
In a press statement, the committee banned incoming passengers from Europe and North America entry into Somaliland due to fears of COVID-19.
The travel restriction will take into effect on the 30th of March, 2020.
The decision to suspend all incoming passengers from Europe and North America was conveyed to all airlines operating in Somaliland airspace.
All airlines were informed not to bring passengers destined to Somaliland and originally traveled from Europe and North America heading to Somaliland.
