BORAMA–National AIDS Commission officials today kicked off an inspection tour in Borama, Awdal’s provincial capital. The commission members held meetings with religious leaders and instructors at high schools. The mission behind the visit embarked by the commission is to evaluate the clinic centers where people living with AIDS are taken care of. They urged religious leaders to play their role in raising awareness and start preaching the public on the deadly disease. Health regional coordinator urged the imams to work with the commission. They also discussed with them that people with AIDS will not be stigmatized. The members of the commission conveyed messages to the instructors who are supposed to pass them on to the pupils.
