Addis Ababa, Ethiopia—Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Friday travelled to Ethiopia for trilateral meeting with Prime Ministers of Ethiopia & Italy, officials said.
President Mohamud who is in Ethiopia for a two-day working visit met with both the Ethiopian prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and discussed key issues of mutual interest between the three nations including further enhancing existing partnerships, statement released by Villa Somalia read.
During his meeting with the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, both officials discussed the latest developments in Somalia’s security and Italy’s support for post-al-Shabab reconstruction, stabilization, and debt relief efforts.
Somalia government is fighting against the Somali terror groups Al-Shabab in a bit to oust the terrorists out of Somalia. Somalia government recovered territories from the militant group Al-Shabab.
