Puntland regional President Saed Deni, who is accompanied by the First Speaker of Puntland Parliament, Mohamed Baari Shire, presided over the meeting which was about to expedite the operations which are aimed to eradicate terrorists dubbed (Hillac) in which the third phase of the operations are going to be wrapped up.
The meeting was attended by security officers, and other officials involved in the operation.
The officials and the security officers briefed the president.
He lauded the task that is done and the plans which are crucial to accomplish the operations.
The following decisions came out of the meeting.
- The security agencies were informed to take strict measures on illegal weapons, vehicles transporting the weapons and those who are involved.
- It is once again repeated that Puntland has banned foreigners who are entering Puntland illegally and to combat the influx of migrants. Officials at a regional and district levels were informed to combat the influx of migrants.
- Puntland banned vessels from areas where operations to flush out terrorists are underway until further notice. Other vessels which are necessary to travel will be given a permission by the authority.
- It is banned that food can not be transported to settlements were operations are underway without the consent of the authority.
During the meeting, the officials lauded Puntland populace at home and abroad for supporting the brave Puntland soldiers who are conducting the operations.
It is urged to continue the support they provide to the soldiers.
