The Education Ministry has formally said that national exams kicked off in SL on Saturday.
Gov’t officials said that the exams will take place at the same time across the country including Sanaag region where Puntland authority previously threatened to stop the examination to be held there.
SL national examination board officials who spoke to the media during the distribution of question papers have stated that 32, 000 candidates will sit for the exams.
SL officials reiterated that the rise of female students percentage is something that is a good news as it is pressed by parents for understanding the importance of gaining educated women in the nation.
They also added that more than 2000 teachers and 7000 police officers have been assigned to ensure security and invigilation.
