A high level meeting which was deliberated on Somaliland’s statehood was held at the parliamentary Swedish complex. The foreign relations committee of Swedish parliament organized the gathering. The meeting saw the attendance of Swedish politicians and business people who are keen on investing in Somaliland. Members of Somaliland cabinet including the energy minister, Mr. Jama Mohamud Egal and the environment minister, Ms. Shukri Ismail Bandare and members from Somaliland liaison office in Sweden. The meeting focused on Somaliland’s statehood and the untapped investment opportunities in Somaliland. Swedish parliamentarians have proved that there is functioning government in Somaliland and embraced multi party politics and democracy. The parliamentarians have pledged that they are doing all they can in order to convince Somaliland case to Swedish government.
