Mayors of Mogadishu & Doha Sign Agreement to Foster Bilateral Trade and Cooperation

Mogadishu Mayor Omar MOhamoud Filish met with his Qatari counterpart Mr. Jamal Madari Al Mini where both leaders signed an agreement to foster the bilateral trade and cooperation between the two cities.

The two governors discussed opportunities for cooperation and strengthening relations between the two municipalities of Mogadishu and Doha.

The accord provides the exchange of labor experiences according to Mogadishu mayor Omar Filish in a statement issued by his office on Monday.

The agreement promotes trade and investment openness between the two capitals. The rebuilding of infrastructure in Qatar are a key role in improving the facilities and skills of local gov’t department providing basic services and the beauty of the city.

Mayor Omar Filish is on official visit to Qatar where he is participating the Economic Forum.

Qatar are among other Gulf States implementing humanitarian and development programs in Somalia and its embassy in the capital is overseeing projects related to Qatari gov’t.
