The Minister of Interior Hon. Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, flanked by Hargeisa Mayor Cllr. Abdikarim Ahmed Mooge and the Executive Secretary of the city council Saeed Noor Jama, held a wide-ranging meeting on the security of the capital with the administrators of the city districts and boroughs or prefectures.
The meeting was held at the conference hall of the Ministry of Interior headquarters during which discussions focussed on how to strengthen the security of the capital city, Hargeisa, especially now that the Holy Month of Ramadan is nearing the end with just days to go.
At the same time the meeting discussed on the preparation of the 18th of May annual celebrations which is also around the corner.
The need to step up vigilance as far as the maintenance and sustainability of security and peaceful stability was high in the itinerary of the agenda.
Such a crucial meeting is imperatively intended to be regularly held by the interior ministry and the civic city authority.
