International Non-Governmental Organizations Halo Trust has delivered environmental journals, books and publications to the minister of environment Mrs.Shukri Haji Ismael Bandare at her office in Hargeisa. Halo Trust printed the environmental publications for the ministry.
“The publications contains information and policies drafted by the environment ministry after completing writing of case studies, policy papers and research reports. They were compiled to books. Some of the books are Somaliland national environmental policy which was drafted in 2015. The books have been written in English and translated to Somali. There is also journal for conservation of forestry and protection of wildlife and community impact on the environment.” Stated the minister.
Present at the handover ceremony were top Halo Trust officials and ministry of environment departmental heads. Minister Shukri thanked the organization for their noble endeavor of funding the printing of the books. She revealed that Halo Trust will implement the building of a perimeter wall around Gebiley Trees Nursery project in Gebiley town.
