Former Somalia’s Prime Minister Ministers on Monday have welcomed the consultative talks that the incumbent Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has offered to the political stakeholders in the country.
The former Prime Minister, Mohamed Roble, has said that this is a step taken in the right direction.
He said: ” I am hopeful that the outcome of the consultative talks will be beneficial both to the country and the people. I urge Somalia’s political stakeholders to seize this opportunity with honesty. We must put the interest of the country.”
On the other hand, former Somalia’s Prime Minister, Abdi Farah Shirdon, has lauded the step taken by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in which he invited talks to the opposition groups to discuss the current issues with political stakeholders.
He said: ” I welcome the role Hassan Sheikh Mohamud diligently took in which he extended an invitation to political stakeholders, leaders of the Federal Members States, politicians and intellectuals in the community of the country.”
Shirdoon announced that a particular priority must be given so that issues facing the country must be discussed in the consultative talks including the fight against Al-Shabab, broad based politics, give a consideration to Federal Member states that are not part of the decision making process, constitution issues, and the way the upcoming elections will be conducted.”
