Reports from Hiiraan region say that fierce fighting is underway in El-Hareeri settlement which is under Moqokori district in Hiiraan province.
The fighting ensued between local defense forces known as Ma’awisley and Al-Shabab fighters. The fighting erupted after Al-shabab fighters attacked Ma’awisley defense positions in El-Hareeri settlement with explosions.
Fierce fighting followed between the two sides and used all kinds of heavy weapons. Initial reports say that Ma’awisley forces repulsed the attack from Al-Shabab fighters.] Details are sketchy regarding the number of casualties that resulted from the armed clashes. Reports further indicate that the heavy fighting is underway in the outskirts of El-Hareeri settlement in Hiiraan province.
