Addis Ababa, September 18, 2018 –Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed today travelled to Jima, Oromia regional state, to attend the 9th organizational conference of the Oromo People Democratic Organization (OPDO).
The conference will begin tomorrow.
The conference will pass historical decisions as well as review the Organization’s past three-year performances, according to Adanech Abebe, head of OPDO central committee.
The conference will also deliberate on proposal presented to change the name, logo and anthem of the Organization, she said. A total of 6,000 participants are expected to attend the conference, Adanech stated.
