Ethiopian PM Dr. Abiy Ahmed has confered with a delegation led by Somaliland presidnt, Musa Bihi Abdi and discussed issues of bilateral relations and common interests. The two leaders have exchanged their views on ways to foster the ties between the two people and make sure the safety of Ethiopians in Somaliland. They have also seen eye to eye on cooperating issues of common interest be it security and peace. Somaliland President has welcomed the peace initiative spearheaded by the new Ethiopian PM and pledged to further strengthen the ties between Ethiopia, Somalia and Somaliland. The two sides have agreed in unison that they will continue to further hold one-on-one talks in discussing matters of bilateral ties in the future according to the PM’s office. They discussed on the utilization of ports and economic ties.
Somaliland president along with his delegation reached Addis Ababa this morning and was cordially receive by Ethiopia’s minister for finance and State minister for foreign affairs.
