DJIBOUTI– Djibouti’s Head of State, H.E Ismail Omar Guelleh on Thursday received Eritrea’s foreign affairs minister, Hon. Osman Salah who was part of a delegation of Somalia’s foreign minister and his Ethiopian counterpart made an official visit to Djibouti to mend strained ties between the two countries due to land and border spats. The president heard calls from the foreign minister of Ethiopia, Somalia and Eritrea which are aimed at fixing the sour relationship between Djibouti and Eritrea. This is part of unprecedented diplomatic shuttle embarked upon by foreign ministers which are striving to end the strained relationship. Djibouti’s FM, Ali Yusuf said yesterday that there will be a comprehensive talks to end the conflict between the two countries. This is aimed at restoring peace and ending conflict to push for regional integration and economic development in the Horn.
