The Commander of the National Custodial Corps, Mahad Abdirahman Adan, on Sunday, has warned that soldiers who are in the frontlines will be held accountable if they abandon their positions and flee from the frontlines.
Mr. Mahad has revealed that soldiers will either face arrest or they will be shot dead as the laws of the armed forces stipulate.
He pointed out that even their parents will be arrested if the soldiers desert.
He said: ” Soldiers who abandon their positions will be apprehended or they will be shot dead. Their parents will face arrest.”
He disclosed that soldiers who remain in the frontlines to face Al-Shabab militants will be rewarded.
He went on to say that soldiers who fight bravely against Al-Shabab militants will get a medal and sum of money.
The Chief of Custodial corps said that his soldiers are ready to speed up the ongoing war with Al-Shabab in order to restore the stability and peace back to the country.
