According to reports, successive airstrikes targeted locations where members of Al-Shabaab militias were present. The strikes reportedly took place in areas within the Lower Shabelle and Middle Juba regions. One of the airstrikes reportedly targeted a site near the village of Dhayow in the Sablaale district—a location identified in reports as a facility for manufacturing and storing explosives.
A large stockpile of explosives was reportedly destroyed at the site, and individuals described as explosives experts were also killed. Reports indicate that the attack killed Adan Murow, Macallin Asad, Macallin Salaad (said to be Sudanese), and Abu Zakariye Al-Nucaymi (said to be Yemeni).
Another airstrike reportedly took place near Bu’aale—specifically at a location about 10 kilometers from the district center, towards the river—targeting a facility used to train foreign recruits.
Reports indicate that numerous foreign nationals were killed in the airstrike, including—reportedly—their leader, Sheikh Abu Muhsin, who is said to hail from Chad.
Other reports state that an airstrike was carried out in Jilib, targeting a location where senior Al-Shabaab military officials were holding a meeting.
Informed sources reported that the casualties at the site included more than 30 officers. Another airstrike reportedly took place in Bu’aale, targeting a medical facility linked to Al-Shabaab. Additionally, an airstrike was reported near the area of Xaramka in the Lower Shabelle region.
Reports indicate that the site was a training center for drone operations; three drones—reportedly originating from Yemen—were destroyed at the location, and the death toll is estimated at 17 officers.
