Somali security forces in collaboration with international partners carried out airstrikes targeting locations occupied by Al-Shabab militants in Adow Jilib, Gayfo and Qordheere areas in Middle Shabelle region.
26 Al-Shabab militants were successfully eliminated in the strikes, a statement from the ministry of defense said.
Meanwhile, the strike also destroyed an armored vehicle and a fuel tanker used by the terrorist group to support its movements and carry out terrorist attacks.
Finally, the defense ministry and the Somali Military Command confirmed further that they will continue the ongoing operations against Al-Shabab until the threat posed by Al-Shabab against the Somali people is eradicated.
