The Minister of Water Resources, Mr. Sulieman Yusuf Ali Koore suspended the Director General, Mr. Jamal Abdi Muse in an official letter issued by the minister. The two government officials were locked horns over the running of daily day operations that the ministry of water resources have for public. The minister has accused the DG of being a an obstacle and the lack of order with in the ministry. Mr. Sulieman has cited the ministry operation is in gridlock. The minister has also accused of the DG of refusing to sign the staffers salaries and made the decision to suspend him from work until the president is about to intervene. It is a norm in Somaliland politics that minister and DG in a tug of war.
