JIGJIGA— Reports coming from Jigjiga, the capital of Somali state in Ethiopia confirm that trucks teemed with (WFP) food aid destined to Ethiopia are still stranded in Jigjiga for a week waiting to be unloaded.

Some of the truck drivers said that the biggest constraint is that Jigjiga Food Storage Facilities are full. One of the drivers told that since it is time to transport livestock to Berbera port that they cannot continue to see the trucks not being unloaded. The truck drivers stated that they are about to submit a complaint to the transport minister for Ethiopian Somali state. Most of the trucks belong to Somaliland people that transport WFP food aid to Ethiopia.
