The President of the republic of Somaliland H.E Musa Bihi Abdi yesterday met with deputy US ambassador to Somalia Tim Trenkle, who is on an official working visit to Somaliland.
During the meeting, the Head of State briefed the visiting ambassador on the current situation in Lasanod.
It was raised during the talks to bolster the bilateral cooperation between the US and Somaliland on the areas of security in the Horn of Africa.
Tim Trenkle talked with Somaliland President on the resumption of stalled talks between Somalia and Somaliland.
The plan in place is that the talks would resume as soon as possible.
The meeting ended with common understanding of the issues discussed.
