BERBERA– The government of Somaliland has officially takes over on Berbera Oil Terminal on Sunday.
This was confirmed by Berbera mayor, Hon. Abdishakur Idin and reports reveal that head of Oil and Terminal who was about to transfer has not showed up at the ceremony. The local media were barred from attending the ceremony. A standoff was reported for the past couple of days where the private businessmen who were in charge of the facility rejected to transfer the storage facility to the government. It is said that the government has taken over with out the attendance of private people who was running the facility storage. Only one trader by the name of Ali Warabe showed up at the handing over ceremony
