Somaliland: DP World Donates 15 ventilators to the ministry of health to combat Covid-19


DP World Berbera has donated 15 much-needed ventilators to Somaliland to assist with its national response to COVID-19.  The ventilators were handed over to the Ministry of Health and Development in Hargeisa on Sunday, 22nd November 2020.

Fifteen of the ventilators were handed over to the Director General of Ministry of Health Development Dr. Mohamed Abdi Hergeye. During the handover, DP World Berbera Board Members Mr Ali Hassan and Mr. Abdirahman Deria and the Somaliland Port Authority General Manager, Mr. Said Hassan were also present.

DP World Berbera also provided the first in a series of donations of personal protective equipment, medication, and ventilators earlier this year to combat COVID-19. Altogether, this brings the total of our financial commitment to Somaliland’s COVID-19 response to over USD $ 550,000
