The number of coronavirus cases has risen to five after the ministry of health of Somaliland on Monday confirmed three more patients of the deadly disease.

This was announced by Somaliland minister of health, Omar Ali Abdilahi in a press conference held in Hargeisa.

The three patients who tested positive for Covid-19 deadly pandemic have been in institutional quarantine.

Two of the three patients that have tested positive is living in Hargeisa while the other one is residing in Borama.

The three patients have no travel history which is signalling the disease is spreading by leaps and bounds.

It is quite shocking to know that an elderly man has died while in a canteen at the heart of Hargeisa, the capital without known disease. Somaliland health authority must conduct further investigations to know if the person has died of Covid-19 or not.
