Somaliland: Bihi inspects training process at military academy

President Musa Bihi Abdi visited on Saturday Abdilahi Askar Military Academy as he inspected the training process there.

He was accompanied by armed forces chiefs and cabinet members.

The President was saluted by units equipped with armored vehicles.

They are having their military training as they were part of the national youth service.

The police Commissioner Brigadier General Mohamed Adan Saqadhi “Dabagale” underlined that he is committed to rebuild and reform the police force as they are the pillars of the nation’s security.

The PC said that police reform is part of producing new cadet officers who well-educated, well-trained and well-disciplined.

Saqadhi promised to build strong Special Protection Unit who will support the military forces

The chief of staff of the defense forces Brigadier General Nuh Tani has praised the incumbent president for his efforts to reform and rebuild the robust Somaliland defense forces.

The president sent cables of congratulations to the armed forces and particularly those who are having their military training at the academy.

The cadet officers who are having their training at the academy where planned to participate 18 May celebration parades but it was disrupted by the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
