Somalian President Receives Credentials from EU envoy

Mogadishu–Somalian President Mohamed Abdilahi Farmajo on Monday receives diplomatic credentials from European Union envoy to Somalia, Nicolás Berlanga Martinez. The President and the new EU envoy discussed the aid that the EU provides to Somalia and to speed up forging closer cooperation between Somalia and the European Union. Mr. Farmajo has promised to facilitate and work with him in discharging his duty. The president thanked the EU for the unwavering support that it supports to the Somalia gov which plays a vital role in the rebuilding and reconstruction of the war torn country of Somalia. Mr. Nicolás Berlanga Martinez, has said that he is happy to represent EU in Somalia and pledged that he will do all he can to forge closer working ties between the EU and Somalia. The FM of Somalia and the Somalia ambassador to the EU were in attendance.
