Jubaland Dervish Forces backed by Danab Commandos conducted an operation in Harari Balle and Dhalajo villages in Lower Jubba region.
The operation targeted senior Al-Shabab leaders who were in a meeting in an area nearby Harari Balle village in Lower Jubba region.
Commanders who led the operation said that the operation was conducted after troops received classified information in advance that led Jubaland Dervish Forces and Danab Commandos to conduct joint operation against Al-Shabab leaders who were in a meeting in a secret location.
Commanders confirmed that they killed senior Al-Shabab leaders.
This was the only operation in which Al-shabab militants lost many senior leaders killed in Lower Jubba region.
Those confirmed that they have been killed in the operation include the head of Al-shabab militants Lower Jubba region, Hassan Muudey, Ma’alin Ibrahim, Al-Shabab leader, head of Wayanta settlement, Ali Dudiye, and Mohamed Yare who is an Al-Shabab leader.
