Security Forces Kill Al-shabab operative in the outskirts of Afgoye district

On Wednesday, NISA Security Forces conducted a planned operation in the outskirts of Afgoye district in the Middle Shabelle region, resulting in the death of an Al-Shabab operative. According to a statement from the National Intelligence and Security Agency, the operative was responsible for creating and placing landmines on roads, targeting both Somali security forces and local residents. The operation, which was carefully planned, specifically targeted individuals who posed a threat to the security of Afgoye district and nearby settlements. The security forces were able to seize an AK-47 belonging to the Al-Shabab operative. However, NISA has not released the name of the operative who was killed in the operation, nor have they mentioned any casualties resulting from the operation. The statement from NISA also emphasized that the security forces will continue to conduct operations against the militant group Al-Shabab until overall security is maintained in the country.
