Jubaland regional administration on Thursday said that what transpired in Mogadishu in which a political organization was announced whereby gov’t officials are members indicates the irresponsibility of the incumbent Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

The statement went on to say that while the country is in dire security situation, the Head of State is preparing to rule the country like a dictator and launched a political organization just like the Somali revolutionary Socialist party which does not have a strong base.

Jubaland revealed in the statement that the move is staunchly against the country’s constitution and is damaging the unity of the country while mobilization is underway in which the Somali populace will prevent the re-emergence of the militant group of Al-Shabab.

The statement further added that the Somali gov’t has disregarded Somalia’s bicameral parliament after its powers were taken away. The statement further indicated that the parliament has become stagnant while it failed to diligently perform its national duty by holding the gov’t accountable for violating the country’s laws.

Jubaland regional administration has called on all political stakeholders, the civil society and the entire Somali populace to stand up when it comes to the salvation of the Somali gov’t.

Finally, Jubaland called on the int’l community and friends who are interested in Somali affairs that the Somali people are desperately in need of their genuine support. Jubaland further urged the int’l community not to turn a blind eye on the group allied with Somali President, Hassn Sheikh Mohamud and the direction they took.
