Jubaland regional President returns to Kismayo after wrapping up a visit to Kenya and the UAE

Jubaland regional President, Ahmed Mohamed Islam alias Ahmed Madobe on Friday arrived back in Kismayo, Jubaland administrative seat after he wrapped up a visit to Kenya and the UAE.

During his stay in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital, Ahmed Madobe held meetings with int’l partners that are based in Nairobi. The meetings focused on political affairs particularly the renewed political dispute that regional administrations are locked horns with the Somali Federal Gov’t.

He also spoke about the importance of holding a national meeting in order to reach a lasting resolution to the political row in the country through a dialogue and political agreements.

He reiterated that the only viable solution to the current standoff is through negotiations and understanding. He said that the int’l community can play a huge role in order to bring the two sides and work towards a political settlement that will transpire in the country, and to stop the meddling of foreign entities and end the local squabble.
