Vice President H.E. Abdirahman A. Ismael Sayliโi highlighted the major role the Port of Berbera plays in feeding millions of refugees and displaced persons in the Horn of African countries.
He praised DP World for its investment.
In a message he posted on his official Twitter account, he said, โBerbera Port in Somaliland plays an important role in the distribution of aid to millions of refugees and internally displaced people in East Africa.โ
He thanked DP World and the UAE for investing in the port of Berbera, โThank you for the UAEโs investment in DP World, which has made our port a main center for the distribution of aid and commercial activitiesโ.
The statement of the Vice President coincides with the arrival of several ships carrying relief aid to the neighboring countries at the port of Berbera.
