What: Forum for Somaliland businesswomen seeking finance for their businesses

WhyThe Access to Finance for Women in Business forum will take place in Hargeisa on 27 August 2018. The event will attract female entrepreneurs in Somaliland seeking financing for their businesses and will be attended by key service providers, including finance and equipment providers, and GEEL program partners. Keynote speakers include the Somaliland Ministers for Agriculture and Investment, and leading businesswomen.

The forum will provide information on accessing finance in Somaliland to approximately 50 female entrepreneurs working in the agriculture, livestock, fisheries, and renewable energy sectors. Attendees will be introduced to financial partners and receive guidance on their application processes. Participants will also learn about support available from GEEL and providers.

Financial institutions, including Premier Bank, MicroDahab MFI, KIMS, Dahabshil Bank, Shuraako, and Forum SYD will present financing options for female entrepreneurs. With direct access to finance providers as well as GEEL gender, investment, agriculture, livestock, energy and fisheries experts, participants will enjoy valuable gains towards business financing and expanded networks for future enterprise growth.
