The President of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed his Somali counterpart H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who is on a working visit to the UAE.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, as well as His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged greetings and best wishes on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, praying for prosperity and blessings for the countries and peoples. The discussion focused on the fraternal ties between the UAE and Somalia and explored ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields, particularly in efforts to advance development and stability in Somalia. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud commended UAE’s ongoing support for Somalia’s development. He highlighted its role in helping the Somali people achieve their aspirations for growth, stability and prosperity.
