The Deputy President of Somaliland has officially opened on Saturday the National Telecommunication and Information Technology (ICT) conference held in Hargeisa.
The conference is expected to last for two days and will address on the progress that Somaliland has made in regard to the ICT.
The ministry of telecommunication organized the national conference which saw the attendance of both private and public firms in Somaliland.
The heads of firms dealing in technology in the country have the chance to exchange views and is expected to issue a final communique.
The VP addressing at the summit has lauded the role of the ministry for the smooth organization. He also praised the role of technology firms and the progress that have been made. Mr. Abdirahman Sayli’i has reiterated that it is the right time to address the level of technology advancement that the nation has made.
He stressed that the government is also keen to upgrade all State sectors using modern technology. The VP also inaugurated the exhibition whereby firms will showcase their products.
