Tukaraq residents in Sool province have called on SL government to carry out voter registration in the village.
Traditional leaders have pleaded that the electoral commission in Somaliland should send voter registration teams to the area.
He said that they are entitled to exercise their rights to vote in Somaliland’s upcoming polls.
He added that it is the responsibility of Somaliland president to ensure that all citizens exercise their voting rights.
The electoral commission has excluded Tukaraq from areas whereby voter registration process currently taking place in Somaliland.
Somaliland took control of Tukaraq village from Puntland in 2017 in a deadly skirmishes between the two armies.
