The Ministry of Transport and Road Development onThursday handed over 62 vehicles to the National Preparedness and Prevention of COVID-19, the vehicles were gathered by the Ministry of Transport from the Ministry, Public Agencies.
The National Committee for the Prevention of COVID-19 yesterday disseminated the 62 vehicles and mobilization crew to the regions and districts of the country.
The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, and Chairman of the Committee for the Preparedness and Prevention of COVID-19, H.E Abdurrahman Abdullahi Ismail (Saylici), said that the total traffic to the regions and districts of the country is 62 vehicles and each of those vehicles has also been equipped with awareness stickers.
“Every vehicle shall also be equipped with sanitation equipment which will be distributed to every district and village in the country. The awareness and health crew tasked with duty bear a heavy responsibly, said the VP.
Minister of Transport and Road Development Abdullahi Abokor Osman speaking during the handing over ceremony said, “We have transferred to the Committee for the Preparedness and Prevention of COVID-19 to use in their campaign to fight the COVID-19 , It is truly a privilege for us today to use the nation’s public transport
Finally, the Committee sent a similar awareness message to the community to strictly observe the instructions issued by the health authorities and adherence to these additional extraordinary measures such as not shaking hands, keep away from public gatherings, observe social distancing which are critical factors in preventing COVID-19 infections.
