The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, received the credentials of the new Ambassadors of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Ferhat Alkan, and the European Union, Mr. László Máthé, at the Presidential Palace; they are now officially commencing their diplomatic duties in the country.
The President briefed the Ambassadors on the progress and achievements Somalia has realized in the areas of security, democratization, state-building, and national development, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and relations to achieve shared goals.
For their part, the Ambassadors conveyed greetings and messages from their respective leaderships and commended the progress and achievements Somalia has made in state-building, security, and national development.
