Today, President Musa Bihi has received the chairman of Gulhan Dearsan, a Turkish based company and other officials at the presidential palace. The chairman of the Turkish firm and other officials have paid a courtesy call to the republic of Somaliland. The talks between the president and Gulhan-Dearsan officials centered on ways that they will carry out investment projects in Somaliland.
The focus is to explore areas that they will implement the projects particularly in the areas of fish export, the extraction of minerals, setting up small industries and plants, agriculture and the rejuvenation of Somaliland infrastructure including roads. The Turkish business delegation was satisfied with the major progress that the country has made. They are keen to set up investment projects in the country as far as development in Somaliland is concerned. Ministers from Somaliland including agriculture, transport & roads, trade and tourism, investment, livestock and fishery have mapped out their plans and areas where they can cooperate with the Turkish company. The president lauded the Turkish business delegation and its intention to invest Somaliland.
