HARGEISA–Wadani party acting chair, Hon. Abdikadir Jirde has leveled accusations against the incumbent president of Somaliland saying that he misled the UK envoy to Somalia, Ben Fender during on his official working visit to Hargeisa. Mr. Abdikair has accused president Bihi of misleading UK envoy, Ben Fender on the upcoming polls which Wadani party locked horns on the two other political parties. The acting chair has said that president Bihi has told Ben Fender that the dispute on parliament quota system which Sool and Awdal regions have expressed concern has been resolved. He also told the ambassador that the provinces and communities that have expressed their grievances changed their mind and come to a conclusion that the parliament quota system will be contested as they used to contest. The presidential palace has not so far repudiated the grave allegations from the Wadani party acting chair. The allegations just comes after a couple of weeks ago when the ruling Kulmiye party in conjunction with the Justice & Welfare party announced unilateral agreement which they claimed that would pave the way for holding the postponed elections. Wadani opposition party rejected to be part of an accord where the NEC members will oversee the upcoming polls. in 2017 presidential polls, Wadani party was badly defeated in the election which they put the blame on the national electoral commission. They later announced of suspending cooperation with NEC unless they are changed.
